Today, we would like to discuss about informal and formal
racism. You may be asking , what is this informal and formal racism

Informal racism is the disorganized, careless and casual racism. However,
formal racism is the political, governmental, institutionalized, organized
and policy-based racism. It is this formal type that is the most
dangerous. Why? Because it is formed by powerful people or groups that can

Control is achieved with policies that continue to humiliate and damage
another race. Not only this, but there are organized policies to
psychologically change the mindset of the other race. There are carrot and
stick programs – rewards are given to the controlling race and even
rewards for damaging the oppressed race. Furthermore, there are divide and
rule policies that are there to constantly cause confusion and
disorganization. Thus, the status quo of the oppressor race is maintained
and there is erosion of the dignity and human values of the oppressed race
by changing their behavior and attitudes, so they come under total control
